World of Books purchases surplus books from either charity shops, book banks or libraries. In addition some of our stock in the UK is purchased via our very own buyback service, 
, where people sell us their books, CDs, DVDs and video games for cash.
These surplus books used to be sent to landfill, but we now re-home and recycle over eighteen thousand metric tonnes of pre-loved books a year.
This creates a true circular economy, benefiting charities, the environment, and of course all the passionate book lovers out there!
